My name is Abigail West. I am a visual artist who is constantly falling in love with the little details and stories told by the people, places, and things on planet Earth. They leave such an impression on me that I can't help but share them. My drawings, often accompanied by words, are a means for me to communicate my thoughts and experiences with you.

About me
I come from the USA and am currently studying on a gap year (2014-15) as an exchange student in Germany on a scholarship called the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX). I am a traveller, and always welcome opportunities to go new places and meet new people, but I also seek beauty in what is directly around me. Taking care of myself is a top priority of mine, both physically and mentally, and I try to lead a lifestyle balanced in wholesome foods, physical activity, and open-mindedness.I enjoy challenges, and I highly recommend the CBYX program to any high-school aged student who does as well and who wants to be immersed in the German culture by living with a German host family and going to school. I had previous experience with the German language but that is by no means a requirement.
